CRUSH_
Real-time cinematic glitch and data corruption effects for DaVinci Resolve.
14 Metal-accelerated effects. Chain up to 6 per instance. Temporal frame access, self-animating global controls, full colour depth through every stage of destruction. Built on Apple Metal. Not presets.
One-time purchase. No subscription. No account.
The qualm
Every glitch plugin looks the same. Random noise over your footage. No intention. No craft.
You want the holographic signal decay from Ghost in the Shell. The data-rot that feels physically motivated. The kind of destruction that looks like it means something. Instead you get Instagram filter presets with a “glitch” label.
CRUSH_ is a craft tool for intentional visual destruction. Every effect is physically grounded — codec artefacts, analog signal degradation, temporal displacement, particle dissolution. Chain them. Modulate them. Make destruction a creative decision.
14 Effects
Not presets. Instruments.
DECIMATOR
FlagshipHolographic signal decay. Vertical streaking, chromatic split, signal dissolution. Self-animating FIGHT mode — three layered sine waves at irrational frequencies create whole-frame intensity breathing. The GITS look.
Datamoshing
Simulated motion vector accumulation and I-frame removal. The look of a broken codec, without the broken codec.
Slit-Scan
Each row or column sampled from a different historical frame. Up to 28 frames of temporal depth. Time becomes geometry.
Point Cloud
Particle dissolution with FBM drift, gravity physics, and 3D flyaway. Your image breaks into thousands of particles and falls apart.
Depth-Splatting
Luma-as-depth parallax with voxel snapping and soft point rendering. Flat footage becomes dimensional.
Digital Feedback
Recursive frame blending with scale and rotation transform. Video feedback loops without routing cables.
RGB Shift
Chromatic aberration with per-channel UV displacement and noise modulation.
Pixel Sorting
Directional luma-weighted pixel displacement. Organic streaks that follow the image content.
Macroblocking
Codec-style block quantization and posterization. Controlled digital degradation.
VHS Tracking
Rolling sine-wave noise bands with YIQ chroma degradation. Analog signal rot.
Scanline Jitter
Row-based horizontal noise displacement. CRT sync errors.
Screen Tearing
Horizontal sync-split simulation. The frame buffer catches up.
Turbulent Displacement
Multi-octave FBM noise-driven UV warping. Organic, analog-feeling spatial distortion.
CMYK Split
CMYK plate separation with bilinear sampling and directional offsets. Print registration errors on screen.
Global controls
Set and forget. Or dial it in.
DECIMATE
Directional pixel melt
Columns and rows drip away with full colour preservation. Down, up, left, right. Applies on the final pass after all chained effects.
SPAZ
Deterministic random cycling
Randomises effect parameters within constrained, safe ranges. Deterministic — same result on every render. Set intensity and let it run. Music video mode.
CHILL
Self-animating intensity breathing
Layered sine waves scale all parameters toward zero and back. Slow, organic breathing. Turns any static effect into something alive. No keyframes.
Architecture
6-slot effect chain. One instance.
Stack up to 6 effects in a single plugin instance. Each slot feeds into the next. Progressive parameter reveal — set Effect 1 and Effect 2 appears. Independent controls per slot.
RGB Shift into Macroblocking into VHS Tracking. A full analog signal chain in one node.
DECIMATOR + CHILL
Holographic signal fighting to stay alive. Self-animating decay.
Point Cloud + DECIMATE
Particles dissolving and falling. Set direction to down.
SPAZ + CHILL
Set-and-forget chaos that breathes. No keyframes required.
Privacy
Offline. Always.
CRUSH_ runs entirely on your GPU. No internet connection. No telemetry. No accounts. No cloud rendering. Your footage stays on your machine.
Safe for NDA work. Nothing leaves your system.
Under the hood
Metal GPU. Zero-copy. Real-time.
Apple Metal
Native GPU compute shaders. Zero-copy buffer pipeline — no CPU-GPU transfer overhead. Direct Metal buffer access from the OFX host.
Temporal frame access
Slit-Scan and Digital Feedback read up to 28 historical frames. Real temporal effects, not faked with motion blur.
Full colour depth
Destruction does not mean desaturation. Full bit depth preserved through every effect in the chain. Bilinear sampling on all displaced UV lookups.
Analog feel
Multi-octave FBM noise instead of sine waves. Jittered positions. Soft circles instead of hard pixels. Physically motivated, not mathematically sterile.
